PORTRAIT SCULPTURE
TRAINING COURSE

This course is an opportunity for you to sculpt a life-size portrait in clay, working from pictures or sketch.On Beginners level you will learn to sculpt basic human skull, muscles and do simple portrait study.On Intermediate level you will learn to sculpt detailed human skull, muscles, do a hair-style study, learn different styles, facial expressions, and age and race differences in Portrait Sculpture.

This course is an opportunity for you to sculpt a scale model human figure in clay, working from pictures or sketch.

On Beginners level you will learn to sculpt basic human figure, muscles and do simple posture study.

On Intermediate level you will learn to sculpt detailed human figure, muscles, do a hair-style study, learn different styles, facial expressions, age and race differences in Figure Sculpture.

PREPARATION FOR ENTRY EXAMS AT ART COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY

Sculpture and Modeling in Clay are still crucial entry examinations at most Art Colleges and Universities. Many European and American Art institutions require portfolio of your work as well.

Valtis Barkāns has more than 15 years of experience teaching students at Design College in Riga and Latvian Art Academy where he serves as associate professor at Sculpture Department.

You will learn specific subjects required for Entry examinations in Latvia.If you are planning to enter the Art School outside Latvia, we will work with you to help you prepare the portfolio and get sculpture skills tailored to your specific needs.

You can make pictures of your sculptures for portfolio with professional studio lights and equipment.
